Payments and security.
Stripe #stripe
Every payment is taken by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider. Your card details go to Stripe over an encrypted connection and are stored by Stripe, not by us.
What we never see #what-we-never-see
We never see your full card number or security code. We see the customer number Stripe assigns, the email used at checkout, the amount, the date and the last four digits of the card, which is what we need to find a payment and refund it.
Currency #currency
Prices are in US dollars and are shown with USD throughout. On Becoming Here, Stripe's Adaptive Pricing may present the price in your own currency at Stripe's exchange rate plus a conversion fee of 2 to 4%, which you pay; the amount on your statement can then differ slightly from the USD price. A refund is issued in the currency you paid, for the amount you paid.
Accepted methods #accepted-methods
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The marks are shown in the footer of every page. Digital wallets are offered where your device and bank support them.
Receipts #receipts
Stripe emails a receipt for every charge and every renewal to the address entered at checkout, from Kaster Software. Search your inbox for "Receipt from Kaster Software". If you did not receive one, email us with the date and amount and we will resend it.
Statement descriptor #statement-descriptor
Your statement shows KASTER SOFTWARE, often followed by our website, thekaster.com, or the support phone number we gave Stripe. Per-product forms, KASTER BECOMINGHERE and KASTER BECOMINGCHOICE, are planned. Charge on your statement lists every amount we can charge.
Delivery #delivery
Everything we sell is digital and written on demand. A report or profile is written in your browser when you return from checkout and kept on that device; nothing is shipped. Credits are held under your Stripe customer number and restored on another device with your recovery code. A refund stops a reading from being written again; a copy already on your device stays there.
Security #security
Every page and every checkout runs over HTTPS. No card data touches our servers, and this site runs no third-party scripts. To report a security issue, email support@thekaster.com with the subject "Security"; we acknowledge within one business day.
